Kubernetes

Modern applications consist of many individual services that are deployed as containers and are either interdependent or deliberately separated. As complexity increases, their operation becomes more labour-intensive. Kubernetes organises these applications into clearly defined units and ensures they run stably. It provides a standardised platform for development and operations. In combination with a GitOps tool such as FluxCD, applications can be deployed consistently โ€“ regardless of whether they are run locally in the data centre or in the cloud.

FluxCD

Tools such as FluxCD and ArgoCD connect Git to the Kubernetes cluster. They transfer configurations to the cluster automatically and in a controlled manner, enabling the benefits of GitOps-based IT operations. Systems remain consistent and up to date โ€“ without manual intervention. States can be traced at any time and, if necessary, rolled back to previous versions in a targeted manner.

Prometheus

Complex systems do not always behave as expected. Monitoring makes system states visible, provides valuable data for reporting, and forms the basis for stable operation. Logging and tracing create transparency and show how processes within the system are interconnected. Prometheus is an open-source monitoring and alerting system designed specifically for distributed environments. We design metrics and notifications to fit in with existing IT services and integrate seamlessly. This makes it clear what is happening in the system, enabling your teams to respond before issues affect your customers.

Terraform

Cloud infrastructure is still often set up using manual steps or individual scripts. As complexity increases, it becomes more difficult to implement changes in a controlled manner. Terraform and OpenTofu describe infrastructure declaratively and define the target state. Entire environments can be managed as code and deployed in a reproducible manner. Dependencies are automatically taken into account, and changes are implemented in a controlled and efficient manner.

Nix

Manual interventions in systems and unversioned configurations make it difficult to reproduce IT infrastructures and jeopardise the ongoing operation of IT services. Nix package management ensures that software, containers and systems are fully reproducible. States can be clearly defined and restored at any time. Changes remain transparent and can be traced back to previous versions. This results in consistent systems that form the basis for the reliable operation of your IT services.
